year. Past projects have included:
- Assisting at the Encinitas Boys & Girls club Pancake

- Rebuilding a storage unit for a victim of the San
Diego wildfires.
- Collecting toiletries and clothing for a Children's
home in Kenya

November
21, 2012: Nicholas Vreeburg dropping off the donated items
and check contributed by the La Costa Canyon High School
Football Team to Operation America Cares!
Operation
America Cares
(a
501(c)(3), which is recognized by the Internal Revenue
Service).
From the Folks at Operation America Cares:
Dear Patriotic Americans, We want to thank you for your
recent very generous contribution to our care packages
for American troops serving in Afghanistan. Your generosity
demonstrates to our young men and women serving away from
home, that we recognize and appreciate their sacrifices
on our behalf. Our care packages make them a little more
comfortable by providing items that they do not have access
to much of the time, if ever. Many of our military personnel
have no families or are from families that cannot afford
this kind of support, and our care packages are the only
mail that they receive. We definitely make a difference!
God bless you! Once again, thank you for supporting our
troops! Roberta Mattice & Linda Millimaki, Directors Operation
America Cares

Austin Scruggs, founded Players in Motion
as a way to give the football team the opportunity to
give back to their community by offering community service
events throughout the year. His goal was to create a legacy
and to give future players the opportunity to give back
and to gain leadership experience. Austin graduated in
the class of 2010 and now attends the University of California
at Santa Barbara. Please continue to support the current
and future leaders in the program so that they can continue
to expand the program and better the community with the
help of the team.
