This is Coach Collatos'
4th year coaching the LCC Mavericks. Collatos has over 30 years
of coaching experience at the high school level in northern Los
Angeles and Ventura County. Nick graduated from Canoga Park High
School and attended Cal State University Northridge. He is the
circulation director for a medical publisher and has lived in
Encinitas with his wife, Glenda, and three children for the past
8 years.

Coach
Henry is entering his 34th year of coaching. He will be working
with the offensive line during the 2009 season. Coach Henry
is a native San Diegan and a 1971 graduate of Sweetwater High
School. Henry has degrees from Cal State Fullerton and SDSU.
He is married to Marina, a teacher at Westview High School in
Poway and is the proud father of two girls - Rhiannon, a graduate
student at Cal Poly SLO, and Hannah, a 7th grader at Oakcrest.

Coach
Wells owns a local real estate firm, KevinWellsSells.com, through
which he works as a real estate agent and investor. He and his
wife, Marilyn, have three children Whitney (Class of '08), Nicole
('11), and Roman ('13)-Mavericks all. Roman plays on the Mavericks
Frosh football team. Kevin graduated from Northglenn High School
in Colorado in 1984 where he was an All-State and All-American
lineman for the Norse football team. Wells attended San Diego
State University from 1984-1989 as an Economics major and played
center for the Aztecs football team. At SDSU, he was a four-year
letter winner, team captain, and two-time member of the All-American
team. Prior to his senior year, "Sporting News" voted Wells
the Nation's "Top Center." He was the starting center of the
1986 Aztec Championship/Holiday Bowl team. Wells signed with
the Denver Broncos in 1989 where he played until being forced
to retire due to shoulder injuries. Kevin serves on the La Costa
Canyon HS Foundation Board of Directors and is President of
the San Diego State Aztec Football Legacy Board of Directors,
a chapter of SDSU's Alumni Association. This is his 2nd year
as a coach at LCC.

Coach
Pardieu enters his 6th year coaching at LCC. He played football
at College of the Sequoias before graduating from Cal Poly San
Luis Obispo where he played rugby. John is coordinator for the
JV defense and also coaches linebackers. He owns a recruiting
firm and resides in Encinitas with his wife, Joyce, and two
sons, James and Alex.

Willion is enjoying his 3rd year at LCC. The past several years,
he has helped coach San Dieguito Pop Warner (now LCC Pop Warner).
In 1983, Willon graduated from UCSD and is a mechanical engineer
at ViaSat, Inc., in Carlsbad. His wife, Judy, and he have lived
in Encinitas for the past 25 years. They have three sons - Daniel
(LCC, 2007), attends UCLA and twins Sam and Luke, juniors at
LCC and playing football.

This
is Coach Berglund's 3rd year with LCC. He graduated from Santa
Fe Christian High School in 1990. Berglund played football for
Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT before returning to Southern
California to complete his degree at Azusa Pacific University
in 1994. Coach Berglund has 7 years experience coaching football
at the Varsity level. He is the President of the National Center
for Autism Research and Education in Carlsbad. Coach Berglund
and his wife, Camille, reside in Oceanside.

This
is Coach Boyd's 1st year with LCC. He attended Arizona State
University from 1984 through 1989 on a football scholarship.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1989. At ASU he was
a 3 year starter at the rover back position. He played in 3
bowl games: 1985 Holiday Bowl, 1987 Rose Bowl and the 1987 Freedom
Bowl. He was the youngest starter in the 1987 Rose Bowl and
intercepted Jim Harbaugh (Michigan) for the only interception
of his career to seal a victory for ASU. Coach Boyd is the founder
of Fathers for Fitness and is employed in the health and fitness
business. Coach Boyd is married to Chris Boyd and they have
two children, Jonah (10) and Taro (8).

Second
year Freshmen Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator with the
LCC Mavericks. Coach Brown is a 1982 All League football player
and a 1983 graduate of the San Dieguito Mustangs. He began his
coaching with San Dieguito Pop Warner and then in the late 80's
for the Mustangs as an assistant freshmen coach. He has over
25 years experience in coaching youth sports: football, baseball,
and soccer. Coaching football is his true passion. Andy and
his wife, Krysti, are happily married with three children. Devin,
a 2008 LCC graduate and former Maverick cheerleader is now a
sophomre in college. Dannii Brown is a feisty 17 year old LCC
senior and Jake, a LCCPW football player, and a five year veteran
Maverick ball boy. I couldn't do all of the coaching I do without
all of the love and support of my better half of twenty-two
years.

This season will be Patrick's 9th year as a Maverick coach.
He graduated from San Dieguito High School in 1984 and earned
"Mustang of the Year" in 1983. He is a graduate of USD, receiving
a degree in Business Administration. Patrick heads up the Employee
Benefit Department for Cavignac & Associates, a full service
insurance agency serving San Diego County since 1993. Patrick
and his wife, Diance, have three children, Sam (14), Michael
(10), and Camella (9).

will be Coach Driver's fourth season coaching freshman football.
He is a San Diego native, graduating from San Dieguito and the
University of San Diego. Driver was involved in Pop Warner football
for eight years as a board member and coach. He is married with
three children, daughter Rechael is a junior at LCC, son Jacob
an LCC graduate now playing FB for SDSU and oldest son Ryan
studying in Japan. He works in the insurance industry and his
passion is football.

is Coach Hogencamp's second year coaching for the LCC Mavericks.
Craig has coached football for the last 5 years with LCC Pop
Warner and has over 10 years experience coaching youth sports.
He played football for Mira Mesa High School and graduated in
1982. He has a BS from UCSD and an MBA from SDSU. Craig and
his wife, Tracie, have 3 children, Kyle (15), Hunter (13) and
Hannah (9).

This is Coach Maquet's 1st year coaching at LCC. Mike has been
coaching at the Pop Warner level for the past 6 years along
with many years as a youth sports coach. Mike played football
at Torrey Pines and graduated in 1976. Mike is a local General
Contractor and enjoys surfing and doing community services.
Mike and his wife Hana, have two children, Isaac (15) and Michelle
(8).

McCormick was born and raised in North County San Diego. He
attended San Dieguito High School where he played wide receiver.
His football coaching experience includes assistant coach and
head coach in the LCC Pop Warner program. He has been married
for 20 years to his wife Laurie and they have a son David in
the 8th grade. Coach McCormick completed the Arizona Ironman
Triathalon in 2006. He currently teaches 4th grade at El Camino
Creek Elementary and has a masters degree in education.

This is Coach Becker's first year coaching for the LCC Mavericks.
Damon has coached football for the last 4 years with LCC Pop
Warner and has over 10 years experience coaching youth sports
in Encinitas and San Marcos. He was an All League football player
at University City High School in San Diego and graduated in
1985. He attended San Diego Mesa College, San Diego State University
and served in the U.S. Navy. Damon lives and works in Encinitas
as a land surveyor and designer for a civil engineering firm.
He and his wife, Dana, have 3 children, Ryan (12), Robbie (10)
and Molly (7).

Cat grew up in Altadena,
Ca. At the age of 8 she fell in love with the world of ice-skating,
leading her to participate in synchronized ice-skating with San
Diego's Team Del Sol. This opportunity took her all over the Nation
to competing against the best teams in the Nation as well as traveling
to Milan, Italy to compete against some of the best teams in the
world. In 2002 Catherine attended San Diego State University,
and in May 2007 she received her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology
with an emphasis in Athletic Training. In December 2007 she received
her Certification in Athletic Training and is now the Head Athletic
Trainer at La Costa Canyon High School. |

Cathy has been with
the football program since 1997. She issues & repairs all equipment
and makes sure the field and headsets are all in order. She is
on the sidelines for every game, available to help the players
and coaches with equipment needs. She takes great care of the
